Ndere Cultural Centre

The brief
The challenge
Ndere Cultural Centre is a landmark Kampala venue, but their existing brand materials felt dated and inconsistent. They needed a refreshed identity that honoured Ugandan cultural heritage while feeling current and inviting to a younger audience.
The approach
How we got there
We conducted cultural research and a heritage visual audit, then ran stakeholder interviews with Ndere management and performers. The resulting identity concepts blended traditional Ugandan motifs with contemporary typography, honouring the past without being trapped by it.
The result
What we delivered
- Refreshed logo with cultural motif system
- Extended colour palette with heritage-inspired tones
- Event poster template system
- Wayfinding and environmental graphics guidelines
The refreshed identity was unveiled at Ndere's annual cultural gala. The new visual language resonated with both longtime patrons and younger visitors, and the event poster system has since been adopted for all programming.
